  I was in desperate need of a bathroom renovation with no experience in the area or any idea where to even begin. This was a very daunting and stressful prospect until I met Ken. Ken was incredibly generous with his time explaining the basics of renovation and this was all during the quote stage with no guarantee I would commit. Throughout the renovation process Ken continued to be generous with his time and was always available to talk and explain the process to a novice. The final product was of an extremely high standard and all for a reasonable price. I couldn’t be happier with the work completed and the manner it was conducted in. Ken is an experienced, dedicated and honest builder who takes great pride in his workmanship and who I would highly recommend.

  I found Ken to be an honest local builder, his knowledge and experience in the brisbane market was very comforting for those not all aware of what is involved in home building. Our Queensland styled home in Eatons Hill has required improvements and modifications, we believe the advice and completed work provided by Ken who had previously built this style of home in the area was 1st rate, and would recommend him without doubt to others.

  Had Ken complete some renovations. Great workmanship and attention to detail at a very fair price. Good communicator who kept us informed every step of construction. End result was outstanding. Highly recommended.

  My wife & I built our home with Ken McKay homes and couldn't have been happier with the results. We met Ken without plans drawn but a rough idea of what we wanted. He gave us his advice which was for us to pay a drafts person to draw our plans and then he and other builders could quote the plans and we wouldn't be tied to a particular builder. It was honest advice and after getting multiple quotes on our drawn plans we went with Ken who priced in the mid to lower mid range by comparison with the other quotes. He was honest through out the whole build and kept us in the loop with everything giving us options along the way and allowing us to change things on the fly (within reason) if we had a change of mind. If you like the idea of being able to talk with the guy who's swinging the hammers instead of a salesman at a volume builder I would highly recommend dealing with Ken.

  We had Ken build our home and his attention to detail was impeccable. His communication was fantastic during all facets of the build. His pricing was spot on and my wife and I could not be happier.

  Perfect Job Great Price! We recently hired Ken to replace a sliding door with a wall and louvres at our place. Ken provided a fair quote, and the completed job was fantastic! You can tell he really has a passion for doing things perfectly, and by the book.
  
  I would recommend Ken McKay Homes to anyone that needs a new house or renovations to an existing house.
